Professor Carolyn McDonald will be putting on her walking shoes for the final Moonwalk Scotland in Edinburgh on 6 September \u2013 and there is still time to join her.<\/p>\n

Carolyn is Chief Allied Health Professions Officer and leads the national strategy for the 14 AHPs in Scotland including radiographers, physiotherapists, paramedics, dietitians and occupational therapists\u00a0<\/p>\n

She will take on the full 26.2 mile challenge along with colleagues from Allied Health Professionals (AHP), Helen Moores-Poole and Anne Wallace, wearing brightly decorated Walk the Walk bras.<\/p>\n

AHPs are the third largest clinical workforce within NHS Scotland, playing an important role in health promotion and also in frontline care, including for thousands of people with cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Carolyn said: \u201cTeam Allied Angels is very excited to be taking part in next month\u2019s final MoonWalk Scotland in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Allied Health Professions Leaders, we constantly strive to encourage people to walk for health, to build friendships and community and to support one another to improve their physical and mental health. This is an approach which we share with The MoonWalk organisers, Walk the Walk. We also support so many people across Scotland on their cancer journeys \u2013 just as Walk the Walk has done so brilliantly over the last 19 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
