Lifeboat crews on Lough Erne on Friday.<\/p>\n

Lifeboat crews have rescued four people in Co Fermanagh after an 11-metre vessel grounded in Lough Erne.<\/p>\n

Carrybridge RNLI deployed a lifeboat at around 5.30pm on Friday after receiving reports of a vessel with four people that ran aground near Naan Island.<\/p>\n

After determining all four on board were safe, the rescue team assessed the vessel for any damage and found it to be in safe condition.<\/p>\n

The RNLI team concluded the craft had been lightly grounded and took the decision to refloat the vessel.<\/p>\n

The ship was successfully guided out and the vessel was given a final check by the lifeboat crew before proceeding on its onward journey.<\/p>\n

Lough Erne Coastguard Rescue Team was also in attendance.<\/p>\n

Speaking following the call out, Chris Cathcart, Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer at Carrybridge RNLI said: \u2018\u2018With people making the most of our wonderful lakes during this exceptional spell of good weather which we are encountering, we would advise all boat users before setting out on your journey to please plan your route ahead using the relevant charts for the area, and carry out regular checks of your current position whilst you proceed.<\/p>\n
