On Monday, Glenn praised the Ukrainian leader\u2019s appearance, telling him, \u201cFirst, President Zelensky, you look fabulous in that suit. You look good. I apologise to you. Look wonderful.\u201d Donald Trump, sitting beside Zelensky, quickly added that he had said the same thing.<\/p>\n
Zelensky fires back with a joke<\/strong><\/p>\n Zelensky replied, pointing at the journalist\u2019s outfit, \u201cI changed, you\u2019re not.\u201d The Ukrainian president wore the same black jacket he had at a June NATO summit in the Netherlands. Sources described it as \u201csuit-style\u201d but not a full traditional suit. He matched it with a black shirt but no tie.<\/p>\n What happened the last time?<\/strong><\/p>\n Back in February, Glenn, who is dating Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, clashed with Zelensky during a tense Oval Office meeting. At the time, he asked, \u201cWhy don\u2019t you wear a suit? You\u2019re at the highest level in this country\u2019s office, and you refuse to wear a suit. Just want to see if, do you own a suit?\u201d He added, \u201cA lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the office.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump had also made jokes about Zelensky\u2019s military-style attire, telling reporters then, \u201cHe\u2019s all dressed up today.\u201d That visit spiralled into a shouting match between the two leaders.<\/p>\n Ahead of Monday\u2019s high-stakes meeting with Trump and top European leaders in Washington, the White House asked Ukrainian officials if Zelensky would wear a suit, two sources told Axios.
