An investigation has been launched after three dogs were found dead in a Greater Manchester home. Greater Manchester Police<\/a> and the RSPCA were called to a home on Cross Street, Atherton, where the discovery was made on Friday evening (August 15).A number of other dogs were also seized from the property and have now been placed in the care of the RSPCA. Police say inquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made in the investigation that is being led by the RSPCA with support from the GMP.The breeds of the dead dogs are unknown at this stage, GMP say. In a statement to the M.E.N, the RSPCA has assured locals that any complaints made regarding an animal’s welfare will be investigated, and stated that the group is “extremely grateful when people report concerns to us.”An RSPCA spokesperson said: \u201cWe assisted police on Friday (15 August) in Atherton where several dogs were seized and have now been placed in our care.\u201cOur investigations are ongoing and we are unable to discuss complaints about specific people and what action may have been taken for legal reasons.
