Grant Harrold<\/strong>, a butler who once served King Charles III<\/strong> at Highgrove House, is reflecting on his time working with the royal family.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The Telegraph<\/a> published Monday, August 18, Harrold \u2014 who is releasing a memoir next month \u2014 said Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince Harry<\/strong>\u00a0and Prince William<\/strong> all shared a strong bond when he worked there from 2004 to 2011.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe four of them, I promise you, got on so well. And that\u2019s why I don\u2019t understand what Harry\u2019s said, I really don\u2019t understand,\u201d Harrold admitted. \u201cBecause I saw them. I saw them having dinners together, I saw them having drinks together, I saw them going to parties together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harrold \u2014 who worked for the royals while Harry was in his 20s \u2014 noted that there was \u201cno animosity\u201d between Charles, 76, and his sons and that the father of two<\/a> \u201cused to do things to make them laugh and giggle.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to The Telegraph, the Duke of Sussex, 40, painted a different picture of his family<\/a> dynamics in his 2023 memoir Spare, as he wrote that he asked his dad not to marry Camilla, 78, before the pair eventually wed in 2005.<\/p>\n

As for the bond between Harry and William<\/a>, 43, Harrold described them as \u201cso close.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe banter was great,\u201d he shared. \u201cThey used to go around being silly with each other and winding each other up, jumping out at their dad from corners and making him laugh. It was just like a family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harrold also said Harry used to spend quality time with his brother\u2019s then-girlfriend, Kate Middleton. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThey involved him. He used to go out with Kate. William would be away and Kate and Harry would be off doing stuff together,\u201d he recounted. \u201cThey\u2019d go shopping together, they\u2019d go to pubs together.\u201d<\/p>\n
