Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko made his Manchester United debut from the bench in the club\u2019s opening game.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim<\/a> called on Benjamin Sesko<\/a> from the bench in the second half against Arsenal, chasing a goal.<\/p>\n

Sesko\u2019s first team bow did not turn into a stadium-lifting dream debut, with United unable to score and slipping to a 1-0 home loss<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But as far as getting integrated with his new team, Sesko got the chance to savour an intense Premier League<\/a> contest, learning a lot about what lies ahead for him.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Sesko played the final 25 minutes<\/a> plus injury time, and while he was a constant presence inside the Arsenal box, he did look like he had never played with his teammates before.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s best play and link up did not involve Sesko, with the Slovenian trying to forge a connection with his teammates in real time.<\/p>\n

Former United defender Mikael Silvestre told MUTV\u2019s postgame coverage that he liked what he saw from the new Red Devils signing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u00a0will be a presence. He\u2019s got good movement. He\u2019s trying to make himself available and to receive the ball in the danger area. For 6ft 5, he\u2019s very agile.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if he would like to defend against him, Silvestre responded: \u201cAbsolutely not. You have to go around him. It\u2019s difficult. He\u2019s a big, big lad.\u201d<\/p>\n

MUTV presenter Mark Sullivan added his view, noting: \u201cJust by being on the pitch, you can see the sort of confusion he\u2019s causing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sesko will get his opportunities, he\u2019s the lead man<\/p>\n

Former United striker Wayne Rooney told BBC Sport that he liked Sesko\u2019s positioning<\/a>, praising the forward. Supporters on social media<\/a> also praised the positive signs from the new addition.<\/p>\n

Sesko is United\u2019s lead striker, with the Red Devils spending \u00a366 million to snap him up from RB Leipzig<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There are three matches upcoming before the end of the month, with Manchester United facing Fulham away, and Burnley at home, with Grimsby in the Carabao Cup in between.<\/p>\n

Sesko will be targeting starts in all of these games, with Ruben Amorim keen to get him involved, and the quicker he gets on the scoresheet, the better.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> took until December to score his first Premier League goal for Manchester United.
