Good Morning Britain<\/a> panellist Narinder Kaur has caused controversy again as she took a swipe at Princess Kate<\/a> and Prince William<\/a> \u2013 branding Prince Harry<\/a> \u201cthe better man\u201d. In a new tweet on X, the controversial social commentator praised Harry\u2019s honouring of the \u201cForgotten Army\u201d on the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.<\/p>\n

Sharing a snap of the letter and a wreath made from poppies, Narinder wrote: \u201cPrince Harry<\/a> honoured the \u2018Forgotten Army\u2019 on the 80th anniversary of VJ day, placing a note and wreath at the Burma Star Memorial.\u201d She went on to quote from the letter, which read: \u201cFor me, this anniversary carries an added layer of meaning. My late grandfather, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, served in the Pacific campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n

Narinder then controversially added:<\/a> \u201cWhilst William couldn’t show up for these veterans, Harry just went and proved why he’s a better man already and representation of this country\u2026 he speaks from his heart, his heartfelt VJ Day letter shows the kind of empathy, duty & respect this country deserves from its royals. While William & Kate stayed silent in person, Harry honoured veterans directly & with humility.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the comments section, fans weren\u2019t happy with her playing into Harry\u2019s alleged \u201cPR stunt\u201d<\/a>, with one writing: \u201cYou\u2019re smart enough (I think) to know THAT letter had one purpose & one purpose only, PR. Harry leaked it, which tells you everything you need to know.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly a moron would think it was \u2018authentic, organic\u2026\u2019 you know, Meghan\u2019s go-to buzzwords, overused to death.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cPR PR PR! He didn\u2019t care for his grandfather then. Why now? He allowed this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Somebody else fumed: \u201cYou\u2019ve never been one to let facts get in the way. W&C didn\u2019t stay silent and posted their own message of remembrance. Henry didn\u2019t show up in person, he just got a mate to deliver a message to insert himself into an event and garner PR for himself from suckers like you.\u201d<\/p>\n

William and Kate released a VJ Day statement of their own, which read: \u201cToday, on the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, we remember the courage, sacrifice and resilience of all who served. Today we especially think of those British and Commonwealth troops who fought in the Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe owe an enduring debt to the generation who gave so much, and to whom we will always be grateful. Lest we forget.
