Scotland\u2019s longest running greenfield music festival will go ahead next year.<\/p>\n
Organisers of Knockengorroch launched a fundraising campaign earlier this year to ensure the music gathering, which takes place in the Galloway hills in Carsphairn<\/a>, could continue.<\/p>\n And although the \u00a325,000 target wasn\u2019t met, enough was generated to ensure the 2026 version will take place \u2013 albeit on a smaller scale.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Charity’s work in Dumfries and Galloway is more vital than ever<\/a>READ MORE: One final trek for treasured Brooke<\/a><\/p>\n In a statement, organisers said: \u201cWe are now in a position to update you on our 2026 shenanigans. And yes, we can report that there will be shenanigans!<\/p>\n \u201cThanks to the generosity of so many we have raised \u00a318,914 in our 2025 fundraiser, which helped us cover increased costs this year and look to 2026 with intent.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have listened to all the feedback and comments we received from donators. The overwhelming message is how much Knockengorroch has come to mean for so many, the importance of the community and how vital it is that we should continue.<\/p>\n \u201cAt a time where un-ending growth equates to \u2018progress\u2019, we\u2019re embracing \u2018de-growth\u2019 in 2026.
