Former glamour model Katie Price has released a statement after her ex-husband, Alex Reid, shared footage of her waving and counting a wad of cash while bankrupt<\/p>\n

Katie Price<\/a> released a statement after her ex-husband, Alex Reid, leaked a video of her waving a wad of cash while bankrupt. In the video, the former glamour model is seen lounging on the couch as she was “enjoying counting” the pile of money<\/a> in front of her, saying: “There’s loads here.. I’m just sorting it out.”<\/p>\n

The star, who was bankrupted twice over debts totalling more than \u00a33m, was asked by daughter Princess if she would help pay her school fees and those of her second child with ex-husband Peter Andre<\/a>. Price responded: “Your dad can sit on that\u201d before lifting a middle finger.<\/p>\n

Wearing white jodhpurs and sat next to a Christmas<\/a> tree, she continued: \u201cDoes he go on about it a lot? Well it\u2019s tough because I\u2019m in bankruptcy to next May now.” It comes after Katie Price is left unable to complete basic functions after latest facial surgeries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Katie also refers to a property – \u201cmy London flat\u201d – which fans believe is the property allocated to Peter Andre as part of their divorce settlement.<\/p>\n

The footage was shared this week by Price’s ex, former Big Brother<\/a> star Alex Reid, who said in a statement that \u201cthe truth will now be heard\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Mirror<\/a> understands that the one minute and 38 second video, believed to have been filmed in late 2020, has been sent to Price\u2019s bankruptcy trustee who continues to \u201cseek realisations from various third parties\u201d.<\/p>\n

Following the release of the video, Katie released a statement of her own, explaining that the cash in the video didn’t belong to the Mucky Mansion star.<\/p>\n

A representative for the star said: “This is a video that was shared with Katie\u2019s Trustee in Bankruptcy several months ago and Katie has fully complied with the Trustee\u2019s investigations into the same.<\/p>\n

“The cash featured did not belong to Katie and the property referred to was dealt with in the financial settlement proceedings arising out of Katie\u2019s divorce from Peter Andre. Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy is aware of the property and has undoubtedly investigated whether the same ought to be comprised in the bankruptcy estate.<\/p>\n

Katie was bankrupted twice, first in 2019 over debts totalling \u00a33.5m, including \u00a3970,639 to HMRC and then again last March over a second \u00a3761,994 unpaid HMRC demand for money earned while she was already bankrupt.<\/p>\n

Creditors include Alex Reid who is owed \u00a3175,000 in High Court damages and costs he was awarded after she revealed a sex tape he says was filmed without his consent.<\/p>\n

Along with the leaked footage, Alex shared a statement saying he was “spearheading a campaign to expose the truth”. He said: “Over the years you have seen countless stories by Katie Price<\/a> directed at me, Peter, Keiran and others. Today I want to be clear. I am spearheading a campaign to expose the truth.<\/p>\n

“This isn’t about gossip but about evidence. It’s not about rumour, it’s about reality. After years of silence, the time has finally come to reveal all.\u201d<\/p>\n
