A member of the British royal family visited the stand of a 145 year old Kildare-based saddlery that was showcasing its wares at the Dublin Horse Show.<\/p>\n

In a post on social media, Berney Bros Saddlery, based in Kilcullen in Co Kildare, shared a picture of HRH Princess Anne visiting the Berney Bros Saddlery stand on the first day of the Dublin Horse Show.<\/p>\n

“We were deeply honoured to have HRH Princess Anne visit Berney Bros Saddlery on the first day of the 150th anniversary of the Royal Dublin Society Dublin Horse Show,\u201d read the caption accompanying the photo.<\/p>\n

Berney Bros Saddlery is the oldest and only family-run saddlery company left in Ireland. <\/p>\n

Founded in 1880, the saddlery company continues to work in the same building where it all started over a century ago in Kilcullen in Co Kildare.<\/p>\n

Since 1880, five generations of saddle makers have made leather \u00adsaddles and bridles for horses and ponies across the world.<\/p>\n
