New polling by YouGov found that just 13% back <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/labour-party\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Labour<\/a>&#8216;s record in power so far.<\/p>\n<p>An overwhelming 69% of respondents said they disapproved, up one point from the week before. It gives the Government a net score of minus 56, which is its lowest since Sir Keir took office in July last year.<\/p>\n<p>It matches the final rating of the previous Tory government before the 2024 general election.<\/p>\n<p>However, both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/rishi-sunak\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rishi Sunak<\/a> and Liz Truss\u2019s governments did at times get a lower net approval rating.<\/p>\n<p>It comes after a rocky first year for Labour with a series of rows and U-turns including over axing winter fuel payments for most pensioners and benefit cuts.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Prime Minister&#8217;s net popularity stands at minus 44, with 24% having a positive view and 68% negative.<\/p>\n<p>Reform UK leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/nigel-farage\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nigel Farage<\/a> is more popular with a net score of minus 29.<\/p>\n<p>Around a third of Britons &#8211; 32% &#8211; have a favourable opinion of the Brexiteer, while 61% are unfavourable.<\/p>\n<p>Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has a net rating of minus 31, with 52% negative and 21% positive.<\/p>\n<p>Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who is launching a new Left-wing party, has a net favourability score of minus 35, which is five point ahead of Sir Keir.<\/p>\n<p>Some 61% view him unfavourably, compared to 26% who have a positive view of the veteran Left-winger.<\/p>\n<p>YouGov polled 2,016 adults in Great Britain from August 14-15.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sir Keir Starmer has been dealt a fresh blow after the Government&#8217;s net approval rating dropped to its&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":357100,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,4],"tags":[807,528,125791,12,384,125,16,15],"class_list":{"0":"post-357099","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-uk","8":"category-united-kingdom","9":"tag-keir-starmer","10":"tag-labour-party","11":"tag-labour-popularity","12":"tag-news","13":"tag-nigel-farage","14":"tag-polls","15":"tag-uk","16":"tag-united-kingdom"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@uk\/115056095037078610","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/357099","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=357099"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/357099\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/357100"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=357099"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=357099"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=357099"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
