Princess Diana reportedly left her sons Prince William and Prince Harry ‘warnings’ about their time in the Royal Family<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to her private secretary Patrick Jephson, Diana is still able to ‘inspire’ her sons years on from her tragic death in 1997.<\/p>\n

William, 43, and Harry, 40, would find plenty of ‘good examples’ to learn from if they reflect on her life, he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking to People<\/a>, he said: “If they study Princess Diana’s life carefully \u2014 and I hope they often do \u2014 William, Harry, and their advisors will know that she left them many good examples to follow and also a few important warnings to heed.<\/p>\n

“Public affection and the rich rewards of royalty must be earned with self-sacrifice and service.<\/p>\n

“I’m sure they are grateful that every day she can still guide, comfort, and inspire them along the difficult path they were born to follow.”<\/p>\n

Royal biographer Andrew Morton said he was saddened at the current state of affairs between the two brothers.<\/p>\n

He said he believed that Diana would have been able to act as a peacemaker between the two.<\/p>\n

Andrew said: “Diana always used to say she had two boys for a reason \u2014 the younger would be there to support the older in the lonely task as future King.<\/p>\n

“There is no doubt Diana would have tried to act as a peacemaker between them. If she had been around, they would have worked things out in a different way.”<\/p>\n

He also recalled how the two brothers used to be friendly with each other, describing their ongoing rift as a ‘great loss for the monarchy’.<\/p>\n

He said: “We all remember the days when Harry and William were joshing with one another, and it all seemed set for their relationship and the future \u2014 that Harry, as Diana always used to say, would be William’s wingman.<\/p>\n
