Love Island <\/a>stars Conor Phillips and Megan Forte Clarke have shared some thrilling updates.<\/p>\n

The Irish duo first crossed paths in the iconic villa during the summer<\/a>, though their romance was far from straightforward.<\/p>\n

Initially, Megan was paired with Tommy Bradley before Conor caught her eye, but she faced an early exit from the villa.<\/p>\n

While Megan<\/a> adjusted to life outside, Conor continued his villa journey, partnering with a staggering eight different islanders before reuniting with the stunning brunette when she made her dramatic return in one of the programme’s most jaw-dropping twists.<\/p>\n

Discussing their post-villa life, Conor shared: “There’s been some update in the relationship status and we’re boyfriend and girlfriend. It’s been exactly how I would have liked it to go.”, reports OK!<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He continued: “When she came back [to the villa] it was quite near the end where everyone was getting really lovely dovey and I think you can feel pressured because everyone else is doing it.<\/p>\n

“But because I knew it was something real and something really genuine I didn’t want to go at a pace that wasn’t natural but we did it at our own pace and we’re flying.”<\/p>\n

A besotted Megan gushed: “My mam is chuffed. My mam’s obsessed with him. They text more than me and my mam do.”<\/p>\n

The couple went on to reveal that their respective families and mates came together for a celebration in Dublin, where everyone hit it off brilliantly.<\/p>\n

Conor and Megan faced a harsh exit from the villa just ahead of the finale, but the pair have plenty of exciting projects on the horizon.<\/p>\n

Sportsman Conor, who has been residing with Megan during his time in the UK, revealed: “I will have to go back to Ireland and do a few things there and unfortunately leave Megan for a couple of days but we’ve got exciting things coming up.<\/p>\n

“We were both normal people a couple of weeks ago and now we’re getting stopped by people so it’s crazy but we’re taking it all in and enjoying it.<\/p>\n

“For me, I’d love to do things with Megan but at the same time we’re both very independent people and that’s why we get on so well and formed a connection.<\/p>\n

“We’ve both said ‘you do your thing, I’ll do my thing and we’ll come together and do our thing’ and it’s very important to keep that.”<\/p>\n
