Production photos have been released of the London concert of Disney\u2019s The Hunchback of Notre Dame<\/a><\/strong> at the Prince Edward Theatre.<\/p>\n

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is playing three sold-out performances at the Prince Edward Theatre in London, including last Sunday 17 August, and this Sunday 24 August 2025.<\/p>\n

The show boasts music and lyrics by Alan Menken<\/strong> and Stephen Schwartz<\/strong>, who wrote the songs for Disney\u2019s original 1996 animated movie, plus new songs and book by Peter Parnell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The concert stars Ben Joyce<\/strong> (Back to the Future<\/a>) as Quasimodo, Zachary James<\/strong> (Hadestown<\/a>) as Claude Frollo and Christine Allado<\/strong> (Hamilton<\/a>) as Esmeralda. Quasimodo is also BSL interpreted on-stage by Oliver Hewing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The cast also includes Dex Lee<\/strong> as Captain Phoebus, and Adam Strong<\/strong> as Clopin, alongside Lois Mia Chapman<\/strong> (The Mad Ones: There Was An Afterparty), Davide Fienauri<\/strong> (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Caleb Lagayan<\/strong> (Miss Saigon), Emma Lloyd<\/strong> (Sunset Boulevard), Anna Marya Smith<\/strong> (Billy Elliot The Musical), Fanja Parent<\/strong> (The Wizard of Oz), and Aaron Rahn<\/strong> (Aladdin).<\/p>\n

The production also features the London Voices choir.<\/p>\n

First-look Photos: The Hunchback of Notre Dame in Concert<\/p>\n

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is based on Disney\u2019s animated movie, and Victor Hugo\u2019s classic novel, and is directed by Jonathan O\u2019Boyle<\/strong>, with musical direction by Alan Williams<\/strong>, and produced by Jack Maple<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The original book for the 1999 German world premiere production, Der Gl\u00f6ckner von Notre Dame, was by James Lapine (Into the Woods). The Berlin production ran for three years.<\/p>\n

This new version of the show premiered in 2014 in San Diego and has travelled the world, but never made it to the UK.<\/p>\n

The wider creative team for the concerts includes Choreography by Mark Smith; Lighting design by Jamie Platt; Costume design by Alice McNicholas; Sound design by Sound Quiet Time; Casting by Harry Blumenau; Production management by Toby P Darvill for Production Solutions Group; and Creative signing consultant Kevin Jewell.<\/p>\n

The story follows Quasimodo, the lonely bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral, as he navigates love, freedom, and acceptance in 15th-century Paris.<\/p>\n

Songs from the show include Out There, God Help the Outcasts, The Bells of Notre Dame, Heaven\u2019s Light, and Hellfire.<\/p>\n

Other Disney musicals now playing in London include Disney\u2019s Hercules<\/a><\/strong> at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and Disney\u2019s The Lion King<\/a><\/strong> at the Lyceum Theatre in London.<\/p>\n
