are entering circulation across the UK, the Royal Mint has announced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">More than 23 million Queen coins are being released alongside 7.5 million new King Charles III \u00a31 coins.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Royal Mint said the last of the Elizabeth II coins, dated 2022, are the rarest \u00a31 coins in active circulation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" nation witnesses the changeover from Britain\u2019s longest-reigning monarch to her son and heir on the \u00a31 denomination, the Royal Mint said.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"c-link\" we\u2019re witnessing the physical representation of our monarchy\u2019s transition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThis dual release creates an exceptional opportunity for both seasoned numismatists and those new to coin collecting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Royal Mint is encouraging the public to check its change over the coming weeks, as the new coins begin to appear class=\"c-paragraph\">Ms Morgan added: \u201cFinding these new coins in your change could spark a rewarding hobby that connects you with the heritage, history and craftsmanship behind British currency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Since the introduction of the King\u2019s effigy on UK coinage in 2023, the 50p and \u00a31 are the only denominations with Charles\u2019s portrait to have entered circulation so far.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The King\u2019s \u00a31 coins feature an intricate bee design on the reverse and are part of the Definitive collection, inspired by the flora and fauna of the British Isles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Some 2.975 million \u00a31s with the King\u2019s effigy were released in August last year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" highly desirable to collectors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">All UK coins bearing the Queen\u2019s portrait will remain legal tender and in active circulation to allow a smooth transition and
