{"id":358254,"date":"2025-08-20T01:57:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T01:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/358254\/"},"modified":"2025-08-20T01:57:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T01:57:09","slug":"infection-vr-is-a-quest-3-pc-vr-narrative-survival-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/358254\/","title":{"rendered":"Infection VR Is A Quest 3 &#038; PC VR Narrative Survival Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Star Trek: Infection VR, a &#8220;narrative survival&#8221; game for Quest 3 and PC VR, was just announced at gamescom.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s being developed by Played With Fire (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uploadvr.com\/stargaze-vr-little-prince-demo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stargaze<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uploadvr.com\/mixture-vr-game-quest-2-psvr-2\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mixture<\/a>) and published by Broken Mirror Games, a &#8220;co-development horror label&#8221; under Bloober Team (Layers of Fear, Blair Witch, Silent Hill remakes).<\/p>\n<p>Star Trek: Infection &#8211; Reveal Trailer<\/p>\n<p>Though the Star Trek name has been thoroughly sullied by some questionable TV shows and movies in recent years, survival is still one of the last genres we expected to see in the Trek universe.<\/p>\n<p>Star Trek: Infection VR will put you in the boots of a Vulcan Starfleet officer on a covert mission on the USS Lumen &#8220;where things quickly spiral into a psychological and physical nightmare&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The ship is empty. The crew is missing. But something sentient and sinister has taken hold of everything, and now&#8230; it\u2019s inside your body too. Mutating you physically and unlocking dangerous new abilities at the cost of your renowned Vulcan mind and composure.<\/p>\n<p>Explore the USS Lumen. Fight or embrace the infection. And confront the darkness within the ship\u2026 and yourself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be equipped with both a tricorder and phaser, and have the choice between stealth and force. You&#8217;ll also be able to use tools and workstations to &#8220;physically craft&#8221; items and gadgets with your hands.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"kg-bookmark-container\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uploadvr.com\/star-trek-bridge-crew-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/p>\n<p>Star Trek: Bridge Crew Review &#8211; The Final Frontier of VR<\/p>\n<p>In front of me to my left sits Tal Blevins, Editor-in-Chief of UploadVR. But in this moment he isn\u2019t my boss; he\u2019s my subordinate. Currently he\u2019s my acting Helmsman aboard the U.S.S. Aegis and is in charge of steering our ship through deep, dark space.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/star-trek-bridge-crew-title-image.jpg\" alt=\"\" onerror=\"this.style.display = 'none'\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This will be the second (playable at home) Star Trek VR game ever, and the only one that Quest players can still buy. Ubisoft&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uploadvr.com\/star-trek-bridge-crew-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Star Trek: Bridge Crew<\/a> launched for PC VR and the original PlayStation VR all the way back in 2017, and remains available on those platforms.
