{"id":359411,"date":"2025-08-20T12:31:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T12:31:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/359411\/"},"modified":"2025-08-20T12:31:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T12:31:14","slug":"childrens-book-an-unexpected-guest-inspired-by-a-blesma-member","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/359411\/","title":{"rendered":"Children\u2019s book \u201cAn Unexpected Guest\u201d inspired by a Blesma Member"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blesma member Mick Foulds, 73, a double below-knee amputee, and his wife Sue recently celebrated Sue\u2019s 65th birthday in a unique way \u2013 by turning the party into a fundraiser for Blesma, the Limbless Veterans charity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-67082 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/book-fundraiser-600x450.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Central to the celebration was \u2018An Unexpected Guest\u2019, a children\u2019s book by author Louise Shaw that features an amputee fairy named Feverfew, inspired by Mick himself.
