Maputo, Mozambique – This morning the European Military Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) received in their headquarters a visit of a United States (US) military delegation. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Welcomed by the EUMAM MOZ Mission Force Commander, Brigadier General Lu\u00eds Barroso, the US delegation, composed by the US Defence Attach\u00e9 in Mozambique, Lieutenant-Colonel Louis Cascino, and the Chief of the Office of Security Cooperation at the US Embassy in Mozambique Lieutenant-Commander Celesse Hidrovo-Guidry, got to know more about the context and work that the European mission has been developing in the last months with the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

This visit reflects the good relations and collaboration between institutions, keeping looking forward to the progress of Mozambique and the Mozambican population.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission with a mandate until June 2026 and focuses on the operational cycle and maintenance, while also carrying out specialised training to enable the FADM to be sel-sufficient in the fight against insurgency.
