\n The King travelled to Merseyside for a private meeting to hear the experiences of some of the young children who had been attacked, as well as their families.\n<\/p>\n
\n Crowds gathered to cheer as he arrived at Southport Town Hall shortly after 1.30pm.\n<\/p>\n
\n Outside the hall, tributes had been left in memory of Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, who all lost their lives in the attack.\n<\/p>\n
\n Upon his arrival, King Charles paused to look at the memorials and greet some of those who had come to pay their respects.\n<\/p>\n
\n He then entered the building to meet with the children who survived the attack, their families, and the police liaison team working with them.\n<\/p>\n
\n The King was scheduled to meet with the three bereaved families in London the following day.\n<\/p>\n
\n Hundreds of bunches of flowers and cuddly toys had been laid near the town hall, where a vigil was held the night after the attack.\n<\/p>\n
\n As he walked around the tributes, the King waved to the crowd and shook hands, receiving applause as he made his way inside the building.\n<\/p>\n
\n Among the tributes were balloons shaped like stars and hearts, as well as a disco ball and messages framed and covered with plastic to preserve them.\n<\/p>\n
\n One message read: “God has gained three beautiful new angels\u2026 May you dance forever in heaven and be at peace.”\n<\/p>\n
\n People began gathering outside the town hall from about 11.30am, eager to catch a glimpse of the King.\n<\/p>\n
\n Later in the day, King Charles was set to be welcomed by local politicians at Southport Community Fire Station.\n<\/p>\n
