{"id":361013,"date":"2025-08-21T03:02:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T03:02:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/361013\/"},"modified":"2025-08-21T03:02:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T03:02:12","slug":"ferry-service-between-new-london-and-block-island-canceled-due-to-rough-seas-nbc-connecticut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/361013\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferry service between New London and Block Island canceled due to rough seas \u2013 NBC Connecticut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ferry service between New London and Block Island has been suspended because of rough sea conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goblockisland.com\/Common\/Help.aspx?page=status\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Block Island Express<\/a> said all ferries between Connecticut and Block Island scheduled for Thursday and Friday have been canceled.<\/p>\n<p>The 4:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ferries from Block Island were also canceled on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>All high speed ferries departing from Rhode Island &#8211; including Newport and Point Judith &#8211; have also canceled service on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blockislandferry.com\/point-judith\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Traditional ferry service<\/a> from Point Judith hasn&#8217;t been canceled yet, but delays and disruptions are possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Saturday and Sunday are looking stellar \u2014 and we plan on being back up and running to have you out in time for that next swell and sunset,&#8221; Block Island Express said on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/3392742897548661\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ferry service between New London and Block Island has been suspended because of rough sea conditions.
