He recalled, &#8220;Our tickets permitted us to sit outside, which was perfect, because I saw a lot more than I did when inside for Prince Charles and Camilla&#8217;s marriage blessing. The couple had provided picnic bags with shortbread, water, and a royal chocolate coin in a commemorative bag.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We could see everybody walking in and out and hear the whole service, including the animated and very lengthy sermon by the American bishop Michael Curry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He then revealed, &#8220;When Prince Philip came out he turned to the Queen and said, &#8216;Thank f*** that\u2019s over.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prince Philip was often known for his outspoken views, and was <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.the-express.com\/news\/royals\/152634\/prince-philip-was-furious-with-prince-harry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also reportedly outraged when Meghan and Harry made the decision to step back from being working royals in 2020.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He was alleged to have asked, \u201cWhat the hell are they playing at?&#8221; when the news was shared. Allegedly, Prince Philip viewed their move as a sign of disrespect towards Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n<p>Sources suggest the late Queen was largely in the dark about the couple&#8217;s intentions, which were fully addressed during a family meeting at Sandringham, now referred to as the Sandringham Summit.
