{"id":362267,"date":"2025-08-21T14:35:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T14:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/362267\/"},"modified":"2025-08-21T14:35:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T14:35:11","slug":"developing-a-passion-bath-newseum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/362267\/","title":{"rendered":"Developing a passion \u2013 BATH NEWSEUM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In my humble opinion, you cannot beat a book in the hand when it comes to reading, so l am delighted to hear that Bath Children\u2019s Literature Festival has launched a <strong>Share The Story<\/strong> appeal to give away free books to schoolchildren in the south west.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Share The Story <\/strong>fundraiser for 2025 aims to develop an interest in and a passion for books and foster a lifelong love of reading. <\/p>\n<p>By donating, you can ensure that a child from a State school in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, Wiltshire, Somerset or Gloucestershire will be given a brand new book by the author they have been to see at the festival\u2019s annual Schools Programme.<\/p>\n<p>The Schools Programme gives children the excitement of attending a live event and helps to develop their love of books. Sadly, not all children are able to also buy the author\u2019s book to keep.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of <strong>Share The Story<\/strong> is to raise enough money so that thousands of young readers will be given a book, and no child will be left behind. There\u2019s something really special about owning a book of your own, so I think it\u2019s fantastic that the Bath Children\u2019s Literature Festival is making that possible for every child who comes to one of their events.
