Liverpool has hosted new and iconic cruise lines in its history. Since the start of 2025, the city has welcomed a number of vessels including Cunard’s Queen Anne. The visit marked her leading role in Liverpool\u2019s Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day. The ship called at Liverpool Cruise Port on Friday, August 15 as part of her Iceland and British Isles voyage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The AIDAbella cruise ship recently arrived in Liverpool on Monday, August 11 as part of a 14-day round trip. AIDAbella is 252 metres long and has capacity for up to 2,500 passengers, served by a 646-strong crew. She is one of a number of ships operated by AIDA Cruises<\/a>, and is known for its Sphinx Class design.<\/p>\n

Despite there only being a few months left of 2025, the city is still set to welcome several cruise liners in the coming months. Fred. Olsen’s flagship vessel Bolette, named after the founder’s great grandmother, is set to arrive at the city’s cruise terminal tomorrow (August 22).<\/p>\n

According to the Fred. Olsen<\/a> website, Bolette will embark on a five-night exploration of the Scottish Isles. With just 690 cabins, the ship is part of the cruise lines’ smaller fleet.<\/p>\n
