{"id":362435,"date":"2025-08-21T16:04:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T16:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/362435\/"},"modified":"2025-08-21T16:04:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T16:04:10","slug":"sunderland-boss-le-bris-provides-positive-injury-update-and-discusses-possibility-of-more-defensive-signings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/362435\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunderland boss Le Bris provides positive injury update and discusses possibility of more defensive signings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris says defender Jenson Seelt is fit to play against Burnley on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The defender was forced off with an injury <a href=\"https:\/\/hayters.com\/sunderland-confirm-another-exit-as-le-bris-eyes-at-least-one-new-signing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the win over West Ham<\/a> but the Dutchman is set to be included in the squad when Sunderland make the trip to Turf Moor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJenson is fine, so that\u2019s a positive,\u201d Le Bris said.<\/p>\n<p>New signing Nordi Mukiele could also be involved against Burnley, having joined the club from PSG last week, with Le Bris waiting to make a decision on whether he will be included in the squad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNordi has trained partly this week with us so he is almost ready, we will make a decision on Friday as to whether we go with him this weekend or whether we wait for Tuesday.,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArthur (Masuaku) has trained normally this week, so he is ready.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Le Bris also suggested he would like to add further defensive additions to his squad before the window shuts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe still want to reinforce the squad if it makes sense for the balance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI still think it\u2019s possible in the back-line if we find the right player with the right level with the right mindset to reinforce the squad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe still have one option maybe but if it\u2019s not the case, we will stay like that.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris says defender Jenson Seelt is fit to play against Burnley on Saturday.
