King Charles<\/strong> is reportedly \u201cshaken to the core\u201d after the sighting of a huge panther-like animal roaming the Gloucestershire estate he shares with Queen Camilla.<\/p>\n

Charles was warned of the predator following the report that of a dog walker spotting the animal corner a fox near Highgrove House. The walker\u2019s dogs startled the animal and it ran off, leaving the fox to make its lucky escape.<\/p>\n

Locals in the area are calling the animal \u201cThe Beast of Highgrove.\u201d It may be a good thing that Charles\u2019 Highgrove gardening staff<\/a> has seen a recent reduction in numbers.<\/p>\n

A \u201clocal source\u201d claims King Charles is \u201cdeeply\u201d unsettled over a potential \u201cpredator lurking\u201d\"King<\/p>\n

\u201cThe King takes enormous comfort in the countryside,\u201d an insider told Radar Online<\/a>. \u201cHighgrove is his sanctuary. The idea of a predator lurking so close unsettles him deeply. He already has enough to contend with in terms of his health<\/a> \u2026 This has added an extra layer of worry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is concern for the safety of staff, visitors, and animals on the estate,\u201d another source shared. \u201cIt is the last thing the king needs at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the meantime, big cat expert Rick Minter has been investigating the incident. \u201cA dog walker near Tetbury watched a black panther cornering a fox at dusk,\u201d he said. \u201cHer three big dogs were on leads, but they rumbled the cat, which rushed away \u2026 The fox emerged from its trapped situation and left the area. [Afterward, the fox stayed] close to the walker and her dogs, seemingly wanting their company for safe escort.\u201d<\/p>\n

The investigator, who documents sightings of animals on his podcast, linked the Highgrove predator to similar local reports. He mentioned another sighting nearby in which a witness spotted a large feline stalking deer through the woods.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe person noticed an orange hue to the animal\u2019s otherwise dark fur,\u201d he commented. \u201c[That] suggests it was a leopard in its black form, as most credible panther sightings appear to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

There have been reports of other sightings along the M5 road near Charles\u2019 home. \u201cIn May, a driver claimed to have seen a black panther lurking in the scrub\u00a0by the M5 motorway verge in south Gloucestershire,\u201d the podcaster added. \u201cIn following it up, \u2026 the neighboring farm at that spot reported that its cattle had been on edge and were behaving nervously \u2026 around the time of the sighting.\u201d<\/p>\n
