The third overseas weekend blocked off another <strong>$59M<\/strong> in 76 markets, taking the offshore running cume to <strong>$376.2M<\/strong>. Global, in turn, blasted past the seven-century mark, now at <strong>$720.8M <\/strong>through today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWarners also notably set the vampires of Ryan Coogler\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/sinners\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sinners\" data-tag=\"sinners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sinners<\/a> on the loose in 71 international markets this weekend, alongside domestic. The original horror pic landed in line with overseas expectations at <strong>$15.4M<\/strong>. Adding in the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/04\/box-office-sinners-a-minecraft-movie-1236371775\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">domestic<\/a> over-performance, the Michael B Jordan-starrer bowed to <strong>$61M<\/strong> worldwide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tLooking at comps, the international opening is on par with Get Out, as well as ahead of Nope by 17% and Speak No Evil by 47%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWord of mouth and positive critical reactions helped drive traffic in Europe, and the hope is curiosity continues to spin turnstiles, particularly given the strength of the domestic scores.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAt the top of the overseas starts, the <strong>UK<\/strong> feasted on a strong No. 2 of $3.2M, on par with A Quiet Place: Day One, 13% higher than Get Out, 14% above Coogler\u2019s Creed, 33% bigger than Nope and 67% over Evil Dead Rise. <strong>France<\/strong> was also a No. 2 debut ($2M), with Paris and its environs accounting for 40% of the total gross.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn Latin America, where audiences lean into horror, Sinners ranked No. 2 across the region. <strong>Mexico<\/strong> was tops there with a No. 2 launch ($1.1M) and the bulk of play in major city multiplexes. Versus comps, it\u2019s 17% higher than Creed, 23% over Nope, 58% above Get Out and 62% bigger than Us.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOverall, the best Sinners debuts were in the <strong>UK<\/strong> ($3.2M), <strong>France<\/strong> ($2M), <strong>Mexico<\/strong> ($1.1M), <strong>Germany<\/strong> ($898K) and <strong>Australia<\/strong> ($842K).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Filmed for Imax title grossed $11.1M in the format globally, including $2M from 359 overseas screens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAs for WB\/Legendary\u2019s A Minecraft Movie, the Lava Chicken is showing legs through holiday play and still has Korea and Japan releasing this coming week. There were some exceptional holds this frame including in Denmark (+28%), Singapore (+6%), France (-4%), Belgium (-5%), Taiwan (-6%), Hong Kong (-19%), Germany (-21%), UK (-22%), Australia (-31%) and Brazil (-31%).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMinecraft\u2019s Top 5 overseas markets to date are the <strong>UK<\/strong> ($59.2M), <strong>Germany<\/strong> ($27.8M), <strong>Australia<\/strong> ($27.4M), <strong>Mexico<\/strong> ($24.8M) and <strong>China<\/strong> ($24M).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn other holdover play, 20th Century\/Disney\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/the-amateur\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-amateur\" data-tag=\"the-amateur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Amateur<\/a> added <strong>$11.6M<\/strong> (-33%) from 52 overseas markets in the sophomore frame. The international running cume is now <strong>$37M<\/strong> for <strong>$64.3M<\/strong> global.
