Here\u2019s a roundup of some the main events taking place over the coming week in South Leeds.<\/p>\n

Saturday sees Hunslet Nelson Cricket Club<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s First XI take on Hanging Heaton CC at their Gipsy Lane ground, LS11 5TT starting at 12pm.<\/p>\n

Then on Sunday it\u2019s Hunslet Nelson Cricket Club<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s annual Music Festival<\/strong><\/a>, running from 12-8pm, also at their Gipsy Lane ground, LS11 5TT. The day will include fantastic live music from local talent, delicious food vendors, a licensed bar, kids\u2019 inflatables and family fun. Free entry.<\/p>\n

The Hunslet Moor Summer Fun Day<\/strong> is also on Sunday from 12-4pm, with a barbecue, stalls, games and donkey rides. The fun takes place at the community hub on Hunslet Moor, near the purple towers, LS10 5FN.<\/p>\n

Hunslet RLFC<\/strong><\/a> take on Batley Bulldogs at South Leeds Stadium on Sunday afternoon, kicking off at 3pm. Tickets at: hunsletrflc.ticketco.events\/uk<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

On Sunday and Monday it\u2019s GroveFest<\/strong> at The Grove Inn<\/strong><\/a> under Bridgewater Place, LS11 5PL. There will be live music from 1-9pm on Sunday and from 3pm on Monday.<\/p>\n

Skelton Grange Environment Centre<\/strong><\/a> are holding a Family Bushcraft Day<\/strong> on Tuesday, 10am-4pm for children aged 5-11 and their grown-ups. Get ready to play wild games, tackle exciting challenges and dive into the world of bushcraft \u2013 exploring nature, building shelters, lighting fires, using tools safely and even preparing food in the wild. Tickets are \u00a320 per person, from\u00a0Eventbrite<\/strong><\/a>. Then on Wednesday they host another Wild Play<\/strong> day for children aged 8-12 years.<\/p>\n

Cllr Wayne Dixon (SDP, Middleton Park) will be holding an advice surgery<\/strong> at Middleton Elderly Aid<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Social Centre on Acre Road on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30am.<\/p>\n

At Holbeck Cemetery<\/strong>, Fairfax Road, LS11 8SY, volunteers<\/strong><\/a> will be meeting at 10am on Wednesday to carry out various tidying up activities. New people are always welcome and equipment is provided.<\/p>\n

There is a coffee morning<\/strong> and bingo at Cardinal Court in Beeston on Wednesday 10am-12pm organised by MHA South Leeds<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hunslet Remembered<\/strong> is a chance to reminisce and discuss local history on Thursday from 10am-12pm at Hunslet Community Hub & Library<\/strong>, off Church Street, LS10 2NS.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re interested in helping planning community events in Hunslet get along to Hunslet Tenants & Residents Association<\/strong>\u2019s event planning meeting on Friday, 1-3pm at Hunslet Community Hub & Library<\/strong>, off Church Street, LS10 2NS<\/p>\n

And finally, Northern Roll<\/strong><\/a>, the festival of skateboarding scooters and skating kicks off on Friday with Skate\u2019n\u2019Play at LS-TEN, Kitson road, LS10 1NT from 5-10pm and Rollin\u2019 round the corner at Beaver Works on Whitehouse Street, LS10 1AD from 7pm-midnight (over 18s only).<\/p>\n
