Dan James could still be on his way out of Leeds United this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n While Leeds<\/a> have been looking to secure incoming deals to boost their chances of survival, there will be plenty of consideration made for those currently playing their football at Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n James<\/a>, after a successful campaign in the Championship, is certainly one of the most well-thought-of players currently in Leeds\u2019 ranks, though his display in the 1-0 win against Everton<\/a> left a lot to be desired.<\/p>\n The Whites have been working hard to secure more attacking reinforcements throughout the summer, and the latest developments may serve as a warning for the Welshman.<\/p>\n As good as James has been for Leeds in the Championship, there are some serious doubts as to whether those numbers will translate into the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 27-year-old has made over 100 appearances in the top flight, many of which came for Manchester United, but his record leaves a lot to be desired.<\/p>\n Now that Noah Okafor has signed for Leeds<\/a>, Farke has options, and if the Whites are to survive, it is going to be key to utilise their best players as much as possible.<\/p>\n As things stand, it\u2019s hard to make the case for James being in that category.<\/p>\n The Welshman has blistering pace, but his end product simply isn\u2019t what is required to thrive in the Premier League, and as a result, his future could come into question.<\/p>\n If Okafor<\/a> does get the nod in the starting 11, it would surely see Willy Gnonto switch over to the right flank, and whether James would be content being a squad player remains to be seen.<\/p>\n Gnonto is a significantly more talented footballer than James, and yet the latter was constantly picked over him for one reason or another.<\/p>\n James\u2019 speed on and off the ball is a key asset, but in the Premier League, you need attackers who can take a chance when they arise, and Gnonto is far more suited for that<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Welshman\u2019s future will undoubtedly become a lot clearer in the next nine days, with the transfer window slamming shut on 1 September.<\/p>\n![\"Dan](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Dan-James-Leeds-1024x575.jpg\")
