UFC star Conor McGregor recently saw two names he\u2019s more than familiar with link up.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dillon Danis<\/a> is set for his first taste of action since October 2023 later this month, when he returns to the Misfits Boxing promotion. He lost his debut under that banner, when Logan Paul outboxed Danis before the former Bellator fighter was disqualified late on.<\/p>\n

This time around, the jiu-jitsu black belt won\u2019t be lacing up the boxing gloves. Danis will compete in MMA at Misfits Boxing 22<\/a>, marking the influencer and crossover boxing company\u2019s first time staging an MMA fight.<\/p>\n

Among those who will likely be watching on is McGregor, a former teammate of Danis\u2019. And the American\u2019s recent sparring session with a notable name caught the former UFC champion\u2019s eye.<\/p>\n

Before facing Warren Spencer in the ring on August 30, Danis got some work in with the leading star of bare-knuckle boxing, Mike Perry.<\/p>\n

After Perry beat Thiago Alves at BKFC: KnuckleMania<\/a> last year, \u2018Platinum\u2019 is now 5-0 in the promotion since leaving the UFC.<\/p>\n

As he gears up for his return, Perry recently took time to aid in Danis\u2019 preparation, posting a video of the end of their sparring session on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cHad to get some work in this morning and\u00a0@dillondanis\u00a0was happy to host and meet me in the middle ahead of his Big fight next weekend!\u201d Perry wrote in the caption. \u201cAfter 30 minutes, here\u2019s 15 seconds! Let\u2019s Go dude!\u201d<\/p>\n

Appearing in the comments section was BKFC part-owner McGregor<\/a>, who reacted in joy to the link-up between his ex-teammate and promotion\u2019s top fighter.<\/p>\n

\u201cAWESOME!\u201d McGregor wrote.<\/p>\n

Conor McGregor has had an interesting relationship with Mike Perry<\/p>\n

McGregor and Perry have gone back and forth a number of times since the Irishman became a part-owner of BKFC.<\/p>\n

Their relationship took a quick downturn after Perry lost to Jake Paul in boxing. An irate McGregor claimed Perry was \u2018fired\u2019 from BKFC<\/a> as a result, a claim that unsurprisingly did not prove to be true.<\/p>\n

\u2018Platinum\u2019 remains one of the bare-knuckle organization\u2019s biggest stars and will return this October to battle another man who has history with McGregor, former UFC contender Jeremy Stephens. \u2018Lil Heathen\u2019 was embarrassed by the Irishman in an infamous press conference moment back in 2016.<\/p>\n

The Dubliner has been promoting that fight, and according to BKFC founder Dave Feldman, McGregor is preparing to face the winner<\/a>.
