QPR<\/a> are looking to improve on a 15th place finish as they tackle the 2025\/26 campaign under Julien Stephan, and they\u2019re eager to add to key positions before the transfer window closes.<\/p>\n

Stephan\u2019s side have had a frustrating start to the season, drawing with Preston<\/a> North End on opening day and suffering back to back defeats to Plymouth Argyle<\/a> in the Carabao Cup and Watford<\/a> in the Championship. The R\u2019s acted quickly to strengthen their squad earlier in the summer, but gaps remain in defence, especially at left-back after Ziyad Larkeche\u2019s injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

QPR<\/a> have already signed defender Amadou Mbengue<\/a> and Kealey Adamson as they look to improve their defence and push up the second tier.<\/p>\n

Now, its being claimed by Pete O\u2019Rourke on X<\/a> that QPR<\/a> are finalising a loan move for Rhys Norrington-Davies. The Welshman is in London as he prepares to make the move from Sheffield United<\/a> to the Hoops on a temporary basis.<\/p>\n

Rhys Norrington-Davies brings solid experience to QPR<\/a><\/p>\n

Norrington-Davies, 26, has been at Sheffield United<\/a> since 2018 having previously spent time in his native Wales. A left-footed player, he can play as a centre-back in a back three as well as in his usual left-back role.<\/p>\n

After some promising appearances in Sheffield United<\/a>\u2019s first-team, he was loaned out to gain minutes with Barrow<\/a>, Rochdale and Luton Town<\/a> between 2018 and 2021. The QPR-bound defender also spent time with Stoke City<\/a>, but struggled with injuries.<\/p>\n

Norrington-Davies has also represented Wales at various levels since 2020.<\/p>\n

Recent injuries at Sheffield United<\/a> limited him to only 17 appearances in all competitions last season, so he will be eager to stay fit and prove his abilities once again in his stint with the R\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Stephan\u2019s defensive options at QPR<\/a><\/p>\n

QPR<\/a> boss Stephan has a strong selection of defenders to choose from as the R\u2019s look to better their 63 goals-against record from last season.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Dunne and Liam Morrison will play a key role this season, along with experienced Steve Cook.<\/p>\n

A move for the Sheffield United<\/a> defender will fit both parties and it would see the Welsh international look to play regularly. Next up for QPR<\/a> is a clash with Coventry City<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n

However, with the injury record for both Jake Clarke -Salter, Cook and Dunne<\/a> and the departure of Morgan Fox<\/a> to Wigan Athletic<\/a>, the Loftus Road outfit are in need of a left footed defender.<\/p>\n
