Of the return of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/avatar-fire-ash-deepen-quaritch-spider-relationship-exclusive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">baddie Miles Quaritch<\/a>, now himself a Na\u2019vi \u2018recom\u2019. Of old wounds, fresh conflicts, and shaky alliances playing out across Pandora. But alongside all of that, another thread captured audiences\u2019 imaginations: the plight of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/avatar-fire-ash-payakan-highest-level-exclusive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Payakan, the mighty Tulkun<\/a> space-whale who bonded with Jake\u2019s wayward son Lo\u2019ak, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/avatar-3-will-bring-back-both-payakan-and-his-nemesis-scoresby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">made a human nemesis<\/a> in Brendan Cowell\u2019s Mick Scoresby, a maniacal mariner making a fortune from hunting down Tulkun and draining their ultra-valuable brain juices. Last time, a showdown between Scoresby and Payakan saw Scoresby lose an arm. Now, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/avatar-fire-ash-trailer-explosive-conflict-james-cameron\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Avatar: Fire And Ash<\/a>, he\u2019s back for round two.<\/p>\n<p>While Scoresby relished his high-seas villainy in the second film, this time he returns with a vengeance. \u201cWhat Jim [Cameron, director] and I talked about for Scoresby in this film is how he arrived as this wind-in-the-hair cowboy-of-the-seas in the last one, out to make some bank, have some laughs. He\u2019s not in it for the wind, the hair, the laughs, or the money this time,\u201d Cowell tells Empire in our latest Path To Pandora dispatch. It\u2019s time for Mick Scoresby 2.0. \u201cHe lost his last fight, he knows there\u2019s this generational, ancestral hatred towards him, and so this time it\u2019s personal,\u201d warns Cowell. \u201cIt\u2019s destructive. And in terms of what he wants to do, it\u2019s probably a little more violent, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He might have lost a limb in their previous fight, but that won\u2019t stop Scoresby from coming out swinging in Fire And Ash. \u201cWe\u2019ve all been there, right?
