Bryan Battle already has a new home.<\/p>\n
The recently released<\/strong><\/a> UFC veteran and former Ultimate Fighter winner has inked a deal with Dirty Boxing Championship and will compete at the upcoming DBX 3 event<\/strong><\/a> on Aug. 29 from inside the The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami, Florida. Battle\u2019s opponent has yet to be determined, but the contest will be held at 185 pounds (let\u2019s see if he can make weight).<\/p>\n Battle, who produced a 7-1 (1 NC) record under the UFC banner, was released by the promotion<\/strong><\/a> earlier this week following a big weight miss<\/strong><\/a> at UFC 319 last weekend. Unfortunately for Battle, this was not the first time he had missed weight<\/strong><\/a> as a member of the UFC roster. In fact, the 33-year-old was moving up from welterweight and still couldn\u2019t hit the mark at 185 pounds. UFC was forced to cancel his middleweight matchup against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC 319 and Battle was subsequently released.<\/p>\n Given Battle\u2019s UFC track record and overall fighting ability, it was only a matter of time before another promotion picked him up. To be honest, Professional Fighters League (PFL) appeared to be the most likely landing spot for the UFC veteran, but Dirty Boxing ultimately won the Bryan Battle sweepstakes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Bryan Battle already has a new home.
