And immediately, the 33-year-old impressed. Parkinson hailed Moore’s debut performance against Southampton, which actually saw him pick up an injury, though the big striker returned in time to start against West Brom last time out.

Speaking to the press ahead of his side’s trip to Wrexham, Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen even singled out Moore for praise. He said: “He’s a fantastic Championship player. He is strong, but one thing is to be strong, the other thing is to have good timing in your run to go in the back of your defender so he can see you and the ball at the same time.

“And then to find position who is painful for the defender. So it will be a big challenge but um we work to be prepared on this case, of course we do.”

Kieffer Moore’s career record vs Sheffield Wednesday

As a former Sheffield United and a former Barnsley player, Moore has certainly had some fierce rival matches against Sheffield Wednesday over the years. And in his career he’s faced the Owls eight times, with a record of two wins, two draws, and four losses, scoring just the one goal. That contrasts to Moore’s overall record in the championship of 59 goals in 202 games.

Games

Wins

Draws

Losses

Goals scored

8

2

2

4

1

This weekend, expect Wrexham’s club record signing Nathan Broadhead to partner Moore in attack after Josh Windass was ruled out for up to six weeks with a fresh muscle injury sustained against West Brom.

It’ll be a new look and exciting attacking pairing for Parkinson, who will be hoping the Welsh international duo can cause Wednesday some upsets and finally get some points on the board for the Dragons.

Games against this one like crisis club Wednesday are absolute must-wins for Wrexham if they want to beat the drop and potentially go further.

Sheffield Wednesday are the next team to head to Wrexham’s Racecourse ground, with the Owls arriving at 3pm…

[8817
748,393,4884,45066,1620,16,15
0":"post-366036","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-sheffield","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-england","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-kieffer-moore","12":"tag-sheffield","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
