Don’t worry, folks. It’ll soon all be over. With the clock ticking ever louder, so looming into view comes the transfer deadline on September 1.<\/p>\n

With head coach Arne Slot<\/a> and sporting director Richard Hughes<\/a> leading the way, Liverpool<\/a> have been working hard during the transfer window to prepare the squad for their defence of the Premier League<\/a> title.<\/p>\n

Close to \u00a3300million has been committed on signing new players, with Reds owners Fenway Sports Group<\/a> having long acquired a reputation for being canny operators in the market. So what else can Liverpool fans expect over the coming nine days?<\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong<\/strong> and Florian Wirtz<\/strong> arrived from Bayer Leverkusen for \u00a329m and a club record \u00a3116m respectively, while Milos Kerkez<\/strong> moved from Bournemouth for \u00a340m and Hugo Ekitike<\/strong> was captured from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal that could ultimately cost Liverpool \u00a379m.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeping department was overhauled with Giorgi Mamardashvili<\/strong> arriving at the start of July after a \u00a329m move from Valencia agreed last August. Armin Pecsi<\/strong> was signed from Puskas Academia for around \u00a31.3m and Freddie Woodman<\/strong> joined on a free.<\/p>\n

Giovanni Leoni<\/strong> has come in from Parma for an initial \u00a326m while teenage striker Will Wright<\/strong> joined from Salford for an initial \u00a3200,000.<\/p>\n

Even more players have headed out of Anfield<\/a>, the latest of which saw Ben Doak<\/strong> complete a \u00a325m switch to Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/strong> joined Real Madrid for \u00a38.4m with just a month left on his contract, Caoimhin Kelleher<\/strong> has gone to Brentford in a \u00a318m package and Nat Phillips<\/strong> joined Championship side West Bromwich Albion for \u00a33m.<\/p>\n

Jarell Quansah<\/strong> went to Bayer Leverkusen for a potential \u00a335m, Luis Diaz<\/strong> departed to Bayern Munich for \u00a365m, Tyler Morton<\/strong> joined Lyon for up to \u00a313m and Al-Hilal committed to spending \u00a356m on Darwin Nunez.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Several loan deals have been agreed with Vitezslav Jaros<\/strong> spending the season at Ajax, fellow goalkeeper Harvey Davies<\/strong> going to League Two side Crawley Town, left-back Owen Beck<\/strong> at Championship side Derby County, Isaac Mabaya<\/strong> signing for Wigan Athletic and Luca Stephenson<\/strong> returning to Dundee United.<\/p>\n

Lewis Koumas,<\/strong> meanwhile, is on the brink of a temporary move to Championship side Birmingham City.<\/p>\n

Deals that could happen next<\/p>\n

Liverpool remain interested in Alexander Isak,<\/strong> but continue to keep a watching brief having had a \u00a3110m offer flatly rejected by Newcastle United.<\/p>\n

But the recent developments on Tyneside, with Isak still training away from the first team and the club’s hierarchy publicly opening the door to a possible sale, have ramped up suggestions a deal could be struck before the deadline.<\/p>\n

The Reds have already opened talks with Crystal Palace over a move for Marc Guehi<\/strong> but will refuse to pay over the odds for a player who is available for free next summer when his contract expires.<\/p>\n

In terms of potential departures, Harvey Elliott<\/strong> held talks with RB Leipzig earlier this month over a move with Liverpool valuing the player in the \u00a345m region.<\/p>\n

A surfeit of left-backs is likely to see Kostas Tsimikas<\/strong> leave, with the Greek omitted from the first two matchday squads of the season and being courted by teams home and abroad such as Nottingham Forest and Marseille.<\/p>\n

And more Academy players could go out on loan.
