Police cordoned off a road in the Northern Quarter<\/a> after a woman was spotted on the roof of a building.<\/p>\n The junction of Tib Street and Thomas Street were closed at about 9pm tonight (Sunday) as police and firefighters tried to bring the woman down from the rooftop. After about 40 minutes she was brought to safety.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just before 9pm this evening two fire engines from Manchester Central<\/a> fire station, along with the Technical Response Unit from Ashton<\/a>, were called to reports of a woman on the roof of a building on Tib Street, Manchester.<\/p>\n “Crews arrived quickly at the scene. Firefighters worked with colleagues from Greater Manchester Police<\/a> to guide the woman on the roof to safety.
