They did not travel to Palermo [in pre-season] and the other guys had all pre-season doing that. They were not ready for 90 minutes against Wolves but they were ready and of course, they are ready for tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKovacic, Josko, Savio and Bett are the only ones that are out.\u201d \u2013 Pep Guardiola<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Ederson<\/strong>, who sat out Gameweek 1 with a stomach bug, is also in contention to play.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cYep [Ederson is fit].<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will decide tomorrow or tonight after dinner [who will start in goal].\u201d \u2013 Pep Guardiola<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>ARSENAL<\/p>\n<p>Mikel Arteta confirmed that <strong>Kai Havertz<\/strong> is set for a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s certainly not fit for this match, unfortunately, he picked up an injury. We don\u2019t really know yet the extent of it, I think we need a bit more time and some more tests, and after that we will have more clarity about the next steps.\u201d \u2013 Mikel Arteta on Kai Havertz<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Gabriel Jesus<\/strong> (knee) remains out, too, as does <strong>Christian Norgaard<\/strong>, who missed Sunday\u2019s win at Old Trafford with a minor injury.<\/p>\n<p>Those three players and <strong>Ben White<\/strong> were all absent from the public training session in midweek, with Arteta saying, \u201clet\u2019s see\u201d when asked if the defender would be fit.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cChristian won\u2019t be in the squad. With Ben, let\u2019s see how he reacts and what we decide. Christian will be out for another week or so.\u201d \u2013 Mikel Arteta<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The replacement for White in the event of an injury, <strong>Jurrien Timber<\/strong>, was present at this public session but didn\u2019t take part in the training ground game. Arteta confirmed that his load is being managed in training after his recent lay-off.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cOn Jurrien, we have to manage his load. He\u2019s been out for a long time again and he comes from a long-term injury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had a long week, we have to manage the load on that, so we have decided to take a little bit of training down, especially that day in the open session.\u201d \u2013 Mikel Arteta<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Predictably, Arteta wouldn\u2019t comment on the seemingly imminent arrival of <strong>Eberechi Eze<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>NEWCASTLE UNITED<\/p>\n<p>Another patience-testing exercise for Eddie Howe on Friday, who had to face question after question after question (all pretty much the same one, just reworded) on<strong> Alexander Isak<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Long story short: nothing changed with his situation and he won\u2019t feature on Monday. Howe hasn\u2019t even seen him this week, with the Swede training away from his teammates.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cHe won\u2019t be part of the squad for this [Monday\u2019s] game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t seen him this week, I don\u2019t think, I saw him last week. When I see him, we speak as normal, there\u2019s no issues there between us. Of course, it\u2019s a difficult situation from both sides and it\u2019s far from ideal for both parties. That includes Alex and us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s training later on and detached from the group. Of course, then I\u2019m in meetings and all over the place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will, I\u2019m sure, catch up at some stage and hopefully speak soon.\u201d \u2013 Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There is at least good news on the injury front. <strong>Joe Willock<\/strong> (calf) was the only absentee last weekend but even he\u2019s back in training now.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cJoe trained on Tuesday and Wednesday, small part Tuesday, bigger session Wednesday, and trained really well. Great to see him back so early. When he went down in the game [in South Korea] I thought he was going to be out longer term, it didn\u2019t look a good injury, justt the way he went down. But credit to him, back, fit and looking good.\u201d \u2013 Eddie Howe on Joe Willock<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAs far as I know, yeah, everyone is okay.\u201d \u2013 Eddie Howe<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>New signing <strong>Jacob Ramsey<\/strong> could also feature in the squad.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cHe will be available, touch wood. Of course, we still have got training sessions to go before the game but he\u2019s in a good place, he\u2019s been really impressive in his first couple of days. Really good technically, very intelligent. I think he\u2019s going to add a lot to the team. He has got standout qualities.\u201d \u2013 Eddie Howe on Jacob Ramsey<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR<\/p>\n<p><strong>Destiny Udogie<\/strong> (knee) has trained this week but the Manchester City game will come too soon for him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Koto Takai<\/strong> (foot), <strong>Radu Dragusin<\/strong> (knee) and long-term absentee <strong>James Maddison<\/strong> (knee) also remain out.<\/p>\n<p>So too does <strong>Dejan Kulusevski<\/strong> (knee), who Thomas Frank would be unavailable for \u201csome time\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yves Bissouma<\/strong> was injured in training before the win over Burnley and is still sidelined.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cDestiny is better. He\u2019s trained with the team twice, full training, and also other training. Just too short to be involved for City. We want him to train tomorrow and have another good week next week as well, but he\u2019s in a good place. Looks very positive about him. Biss will miss this game as well. Kulusevski\u2019s out. I think that\u2019s a longer one. I don\u2019t want to put a timeframe on it.\u201d \u2013 Thomas Frank<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Frank confirmed that <strong>Richarlison<\/strong> was his \u201cstarting nine\u201d, when asked about the Brazilian\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cRight now, he\u2019s my starting nine. Scored two fantastic goals, he had two top games, he\u2019s the Brazilian number nine. He is a very good player so I\u2019m very happy with him. Richy wants to stay, I want to keep him, there\u2019s been no talks about anything else. He\u2019s done well for us.\u201d \u2013 Thomas Frank on Richarlison<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>MANCHESTER UNITED<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lisandro Martinez<\/strong> (knee) and <strong>Noussair Mazraoui<\/strong> (unknown) are the only United absentees for Gameweek 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andre Onana<\/strong>, who failed to make the squad last weekend despite returning to train, is \u201cready to play\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cOnana is ready to play like last week, so we will see in the game who is going to be the goalkeeper.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLicha is out, Nous is out. The rest of the guys are fit and ready to play.\u201d \u2013 Rubem Amorim<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>BRENTFORD<\/p>\n<p>Keith Andrews said on Friday that <strong>Yoane Wissa<\/strong> could be an option against Aston Villa this weekend, having trained with the team.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIn terms of being involved this weekend, I\u2019ll make a decision on the squad tomorrow but he\u2019s been part of the group this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy stance around Yoane all along has been that I don\u2019t want him to leave. That hasn\u2019t really changed in any way shape or form.\u201d \u2013 Keith Andrews on Yoane Wissa<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Bees put out an injury bulletin ahead of Andrews\u2019 presser \u2013 and it\u2019s pretty good news all round.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, <strong>Mikkel Damsgaard<\/strong> is back in contention after missing Gameweek 1 to attend the birth of his child.<\/p>\n<p>There are boosts on the injury front, too, with <strong>Ethan Pinnock<\/strong>\u00a0(muscle), <strong>Yunus Emre Konak<\/strong> (ankle) and <strong>Paris Maghoma<\/strong> (hamstring) all back in full training this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vitaly Janelt<\/strong>\u00a0(heel), who has been out for five months, is even in team training, too, although this match comes too soon for the midfielder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gustavo Nunes<\/strong>\u00a0(hamstring) is still at the \u201crunning drills\u201d stage of his rehab, so he remains some way off a return.<\/p>\n<p>BOURNEMOUTH<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lewis Cook<\/strong> (knee) is both injured and suspended for this weekend\u2019s clash with Wolves, with the former keeping him out until after the international break.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enes Unal<\/strong>, meanwhile, is still recovering from a knee injury sustained in January.<\/p>\n<p>Andoni Iraola is hopeful of having <strong>Ryan Christie<\/strong> (groin) available, however, after the midfielder returned to training after a long lay-off ahead of Gameweek 1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Justin Kluivert<\/strong> (calf), who has himself missed a big chunk of pre-season, has also been back on the grass but Iraola hinted that this game may come too soon for him.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cRyan Christie has trained with us all the week so I hope he is with us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe still have training this afternoon but we hope he is with us for the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJustin has done some things with us, he\u2019s in a more difficult position than Ryan Christie but it\u2019s good news that he has started doing things with the group.\u201d \u2013 Andoni Iraola<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>ASTON VILLA<\/p>\n<p>Villa have no new injury concerns following the stalemate against Newcastle United last weekend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emi Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> is available again after suspension but <strong>Ezri Konsa<\/strong> serves a one-match ban.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ross Barkley<\/strong> and <strong>Andres Garcia<\/strong> haven\u2019t been seen since mid-July with supposedly minor issues.<\/p>\n<p>CRYSTAL PALACE<\/p>\n<p>Long-term absentees <strong>Chadi Riad<\/strong> and <strong>Cheick Doucoure<\/strong> remain out, as do <strong>Eddie Nketiah<\/strong> (hamstring), <strong>Matheus Franca<\/strong> (adductor) and <strong>Caleb Kporha<\/strong> (back).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daichi Kamada<\/strong> picked up a knee injury in the Community Shield and has missed the last two games, and while he is back in training, he\u2019s unlikely to be fit for Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Oliver Glasner reported that his players came through unscathed from Thursday\u2019s UEFA Conference League play-off first-leg tie against Fredrikstad.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIt looks good [after last night\u2019s match]. The players, of course, had a good recovery session.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was also the positive aspect that Daichi Kamadi did part of the normal training session, but we were just five players, because we\u2019re having one or two playing with the Under-21s tonight. It was good news.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think [Kamada will be fit] for Sunday, but for Thursday [night away to Fredrikstad].\u201d \u2013 Oliver Glasner<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Eberechi Eze<\/strong> looks set for a move to Arsenal but <strong>Marc Guehi<\/strong> remains a Palace player for now, training all week and featuring on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>FULHAM<\/p>\n<p>Fulham were without both of their left-backs last weekend but it seems like they are both closing in on returns.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Sessegnon<\/strong>, who hobbled off in the first half of Fulham\u2019s final pre-season friendly, was even in training before the draw with Brighton and Hove Albion but wasn\u2019t risked.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antonee Robinson<\/strong> (knee), who missed the whole of the summer, was \u201calready involved in some things with the team\u201d, too.<\/p>\n<p>Marco Silva said in his pre-match presser that he would take a final decision on his two full-backs after tomorrow\u2019s final training session.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe have to wait and see. We just finished one session now, we are going to have another one tomorrow. We have to take a decision related to both players. They are very important for us, but the same time, we don\u2019t want to have any risk to lose them for longer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDifferent situations. Robinson is coming back from a surgery, he\u2019s training with the team but you have to take a decision. And Sessegnon, he felt something in the last friendly game against Eintracht. We didn\u2019t want to take a risk last week, let\u2019s see how he is going to be in the last session before the Man United game, and then we are going to decide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf not, Calvin did so, so, so well, it was a great, great performance at left-back, and I think we are more than covered in that position, because even [Jorge] Cuenca can play there. Of course, they are both different, if you have Robinson or Sessegnon, then you have a more offensive dynamic and mobility on the left-hand side.\u201d \u2013 Marco Silva<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>NOTTINGHAM FOREST<\/p>\n<p>Forest have signed <strong>James McAtee, Omari Hutchinson, Douglas Luiz<\/strong> and <strong>Arnaud Kalimuendo<\/strong> in the last week.<\/p>\n<p>Nuno Espirito Santo says all the new boys will be assessed ahead of Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Injury-wise, <strong>Nicolas Dominguez <\/strong>will be out until the autumn after undergoing knee surgery over the summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>EVERTON<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jarrad Branthwaite<\/strong> (hamstring), <strong>Vitalii Mykolenko<\/strong> (muscle) and <strong>Nathan Patterson<\/strong> (hernia symptoms) remain out but <strong>Adam Aznou<\/strong> is back in training after missing Monday\u2019s defeat at Elland Road.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cJarrad is on the way but not fit, neither is Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson is not fit, either. Those three are not available.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAznou has trained today for the first time, so we\u2019ll see how he goes.\u201d \u2013 David Moyes<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>David Moyes was asked about whether<strong> Jack Grealish<\/strong> would feature from the start on Sunday, having come off the bench in Gameweek 1.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cYeah, I thought I thought his glimpse was okay.
