{"id":366485,"date":"2025-08-23T05:31:19","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T05:31:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/366485\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T05:31:19","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T05:31:19","slug":"charlie-day-interested-had-conversations-about-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/366485\/","title":{"rendered":"Charlie Day Interested, Had Conversations About It"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThough <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/charlie-day\/\" id=\"auto-tag_charlie-day_1\" data-tag=\"charlie-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlie Day<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/jennifer-aniston\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jennifer-aniston_1\" data-tag=\"jennifer-aniston\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jennifer Aniston<\/a>\u2018s characters were often at odds in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/horrible-bosses\/\" id=\"auto-tag_horrible-bosses_1\" data-tag=\"horrible-bosses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Horrible Bosses<\/a> films, they\u2019re both aligned in wanting a third film in the R-rated comedy franchise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAfter Aniston recently revealed that she wants to revisit the project, the It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor told The Hollywood Reporter that he, too, \u201cabsolutely would be up for another\u201d Horrible Bosses\u2018 film.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn addition, speaking to THR at a recent New York screening of his latest movie, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/honey-dont-review-margaret-qualley-aubrey-plaza-ethan-coen-1236224718\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/honey-dont-review-margaret-qualley-aubrey-plaza-ethan-coen-1236224718\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honey Don\u2019t!<\/a>, now in theaters, Day said that he \u201chad some conversations about it with some people involved in front and behind the camera,\u201d suggesting that his and Aniston\u2019s desire to return to the project might be more than idle speculation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe added, \u201cWe\u2019ll see \u2014 hopefully there\u2019s an appetite at the studio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDay referenced the new Naked Gun film in expressing his support for theatrical comedies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI just saw The Naked Gun, and it was so fun to be in a theater with a comedy with a capital \u2018c.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019d love to do a third one,\u201d he said of the Horrible Bosses series. \u201cHopefully, we get to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn June, <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jennifer-aniston-on-past-project-shes-most-interested-in-revisiting-exclusive-11761749\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aniston told People<\/a> that Horrible Bosses is the project she\u2019d be most interested in revisiting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cJason Bateman\u00a0and I were talking about that, and\u00a0Charlie Day\u00a0has been talking about it a lot too,\u201d Aniston said of the franchise. \u201cSo that\u2019s something that we think would be super fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShe added, \u201cThe characters are hilarious, and we need comedy. I personally think comedy is a necessity. That\u2019s one that we would have a really fun time, I think, going back to, seeing where those crazy cats are today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAniston also looked back lovingly on the franchise in a recent video interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=b6ETxfr76Ts&amp;ab_channel=VanityFair\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vanity Fair<\/a> for its \u201cRewatch\u201d series, recalling how she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/jennifer-aniston-fought-studio-execs-wig-horrible-bosses-1236344337\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fought for her character\u2019s brunette locks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI wanted [my character] to look different. The argument from the studio, and I am sorry to call you out, was that, \u2018We\u2019re just afraid it won\u2019t look like you.\u2019 And I said, \u2018That\u2019s kind of the point!\u2019 I still think it might look a little bit like me. But I\u2019m glad I fought for it and stuck to my guns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe two films, released in 2011 and 2014, Aniston said, helped her shed her \u201cgirl next door\u201d image.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI was always, sort of, seen as a girl next door, you know, the ingenue,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was really fun to play somebody like this because it\u2019s so far away from anything that I am. And I think that\u2019s what the director liked \u2014 this is so not what you would expect from this gal. That was the fun of it. I think that\u2019s what made it more creatively exciting for me, obviously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe first Horrible Bosses film, released over the summer in 2011, was directed by Seth Gordon from a script by Michael Markowitz, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, and in addition to Aniston, Day and Bateman, starred Jason Sudeikis, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx. The film follows three friends (Day, Bateman and Sudeikis) who scheme to murder their awful bosses. The original grossed nearly $210 million worldwide on a $35 million budget.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/horrible-bosses-2-film-review-748199\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2014 sequel<\/a>, directed by Sean Anders from a script by Anders, John Morris, Goldstein and Daley, saw most of the original stars return and added Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz.
