Families should take advantage of England’s \u00a33 bus fare cap to “get out and enjoy everything their area has to offer”, a minister has declared.<\/p>\n

Local transport minister Simon Lightwood has encouraged people to organise days out by bus “without worrying” about travel expenses.<\/p>\n

Bus journeys on thousands of routes across England remain capped at \u00a33 until March 2027.<\/p>\n

Popular tourist hotspots accessible through the scheme include Alton Towers<\/a>, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Warwick Castle, West Midlands Safari Park and the National Space Centre.<\/p>\n

Visitor attractions firm Merlin confirmed it actively encourages people to “leave the car at home”, and has witnessed a rise in visits to its venues via public transport.<\/p>\n

Mr Lightwood commented: “Whether it’s a trip to the seaside, a day out at a museum or just visiting friends, we want people to get out and enjoy everything their area has to offer \u2013 without worrying about the cost.<\/p>\n

“That’s why we’ve kept the \u00a33 fare cap in place and why we’re investing in better, more reliable buses across the country.<\/p>\n

“It’s about making travel simpler, cheaper and better for everyone, driving growth and access to opportunity.”<\/p>\n
