{"id":367943,"date":"2025-08-23T19:17:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T19:17:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/367943\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T19:17:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T19:17:13","slug":"frances-tiafoe-predicts-who-will-have-the-better-tennis-career-out-of-carlos-alcaraz-and-jannik-sinner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/367943\/","title":{"rendered":"Frances Tiafoe predicts who will have the better tennis career out of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner<\/strong> <strong>have been dominant over the past two years, winning the previous seven Grand Slam titles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The last player other than Alcaraz or Sinner to win a major title was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/novak-djokovic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Novak Djokovic<\/a> at the 2023 US Open, two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, the world number one and two have been a class above their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATP Tour<\/a> rivals, with Alcaraz winning three Grand Slams and Sinner winning four.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2224312916-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Jannik Sinner kisses the Wimbledon trophy after beating Carlos Alcaraz in the 2025 final\" class=\"wp-image-111823\" \/>Photo by HENRY NICHOLLS\/AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Never afraid to get ahead of themselves\u2026 some tennis fans are already predicting the pair to break the Grand Slam records set by the \u2018big three\u2019, of Djokovic, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/rafael-nadal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rafael Nadal<\/a>, and Roger Federer.<\/p>\n<p>During his pre-tournament press conference, American star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/frances-tiafoe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frances Tiafoe<\/a> was asked which of Alcaraz and Sinner he thinks will win the most major titles.<\/p>\n<p>Frances Tiafoe predicts Carlos Alcaraz to win more Grand Slams than Jannik Sinner<\/p>\n<p>The world number 17 said it was a \u2018funny question\u2019, but was happy to answer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a funny question. I have been asked that so many times. It\u2019s a funny question, because I\u2019m playing in real time. Yeah, why don\u2019t you have 20? You have 20? I\u2019m sitting here with zero,\u201d said Tiafoe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I had to honestly do it, I\u2019m taking Carlos [Alcaraz].<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, all-court game. It just has to happen. I can\u2019t see them playing the finals every week,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need something new. The game needs something new. I love those guys. Shout out to both those guys. We need something new.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also commented on the differences between the two players, which makes their rivalry so exciting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really like how different they are. [Jannik] Sinner is ice cold. Carlos, I mean, has an unbelievable game, plays the crowd,\u201d said Tiafoe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re both moving incredibly. One guy hits the ball super hard, and the other guy plays an all-court game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, they produce insane matches. Those are the two guys doing it,\u201d said Tiafoe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut ultimately, if you want to win one [a Grand Slam], you\u2019ve got to beat those guys. Because it is what it is. Respect those guys. Incredible players. So young. They\u2019re going to be at the top of the game for a while.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t be out there just putting them on a pedestal.
