Liverpool still have time to complete a transfer for Marc Guehi, who has responded to a move completed by his side Crystal Palace<\/p>\n

Liverpool transfer target Marc Guehi has wished a fond farewell to Eberechi Eze, who has completed a transfer from Crystal Palace to Arsenal. It remains to be seen whether Guehi follows his teammate out of Selhurst Park this summer with Anfield chiefs already in talks.<\/p>\n

Guehi, 25, has one year left on his Palace contract but is believed to be keen on the switch to Liverpool<\/a>. Transfer talks opened after the Community Shield clash earlier this month but it is believed the Eagles are currently asking higher than what the Reds are willing to offer under the circumstances<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There are ten days in the current transfer window for the situation to find a resolution otherwise Liverpool would be in a position to wait until next summer and wrap up the defender’s signing as a free agent.<\/p>\n

As well as potentially selling their captain to the Premier League<\/a> champions, Palace have also had to consider the loss of one of their most influential players. Last season Eze recorded 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old earned interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but the former have won the race and announced Eze’s arrival on Saturday evening. The Gunners have been made to pay Palace \u00a367.5 million for the player.<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle for the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.<\/p>\n

And Guehi has followed up with a touching message to Eze, who was his teammate in South London for the past four years.<\/p>\n

“@eze Good luck my brother! Been a pleasure sharing the pitch with you [praying emoji, red heart emoji],” Guehi wrote to Eze. He posted a collage of images of the pair during their shared time at Palace, then in the post including the message included another picture of them celebrating a goal together.<\/p>\n

Eze’s move now means he could make his Arsenal debut at Anfield<\/a> against Liverpool on Sunday, August 31.<\/p>\n

The Reds have until midday on Friday, August 29 to come to a full agreement with Palace and complete the formalities of a transfer to ensure that Guehi would be able to make a Reds debut against his now former teammate. Failing that, the summer transfer window comes to a close at 7pm on Monday, September 1.<\/p>\n

They could be cutting it fine for that first deadline as Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been insistent Guehi stays<\/a> to complete a Europa Conference League qualifying tie against Norwegian side Fredrikstad. The second leg of that tie takes place on Thursday, August 28.<\/p>\n

“I just know if Marc leaves and is not available for Frederikstad, we will have big troubles. That’s pretty clear. We can’t register anyone. So from my side, he has to stay,” Glasner said.<\/p>\n

“We played with Jeff Lerma in the back today. He’s a midfield player. We have no centre-back available at the moment. If Marc leaves, I will try my boots because I was a centre-back, and this could be a good option. I will think about it.”<\/p>\n

But Eagles chairmain Steve Parish has admitted<\/a>: “Yes, of course, for players of that calibre to leave on a free, it is a problem for a football club. There is no doubt about it, unfortunately.<\/p>\n

“We will just have to see what happens.
