His mom prays with him, comforts him, and teaches him about perseverance.<\/p>\n<p>Ben is cheered when his Springbok hero, Canan Moodie, visits the school and tells the pupils that he too has had to overcome mistakes and failure.<\/p>\n<p>This book is as charming as the rest of the series, which\u00a0is available in English and Afrikaans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hello Tippie, Tippie Explores and Discover with Tippie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jose Palmer, Fanie Viljoen and Reinette Lombaard<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lapa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Tippie readers are colourful and word-dense and my daughter, who is in Grade 3, got excited when I received them because she recognised them from her school library.<\/p>\n<p>The books, which are available in English and Afrikaans, use colour to help children with phonics \u2014 making words \u201cdecodable\u201d as the back cover says.<\/p>\n<p>I was sent three books from the series, which seems to comprise dozens of books and curriculum support materials, such as flash cards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The series also has books for toddlers, but Hello Tippie, Tippie Explores and Discover with Tippie are for grades 1, 2 and 3.
