{"id":369540,"date":"2025-08-24T10:46:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-24T10:46:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/369540\/"},"modified":"2025-08-24T10:46:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T10:46:20","slug":"madison-keys-says-what-her-relationship-with-frances-tiafoe-is-like-after-playing-doubles-with-him-at-the-us-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/369540\/","title":{"rendered":"Madison Keys says what her relationship with Frances Tiafoe is like after playing doubles with him at the US Open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe competed in the revamped US Open mixed doubles event.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The American duo were given a tricky draw in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/us-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Open<\/a> mixed doubles, as they took on Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud in round one.<\/p>\n<p>Failing to make an impression against the number-three seeds, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/madison-keys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Keys<\/a> and Tiafoe lost in straight sets, 1-4, 2-4.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2230324758-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud celebrate their first-round win at the 2025 US Open mixed doubles event\" class=\"wp-image-122231\" \/>Photo by Robert Prange\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Both Keys and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/frances-tiafoe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiafoe<\/a> will now turn their attention to the singles, where they could be in with a real shout of winning the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on their brief stint in the mixed doubles, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/madison-keys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Keys<\/a> has now shared what her relationship with Tiafoe is really like.<\/p>\n<p>Madison Keys says Frances Tiafoe is \u2018one of the happiest people\u2019 she\u2019s ever been around<\/p>\n<p>During her pre-tournament press conference, Keys commented on her relationship with Tiafoe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLove Foe [Frances Tiaofe],\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have known each other for many, many years. I mean, I always love watching him play tennis. It\u2019s always super fun. We play obviously very differently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut he\u2019s one of the best guys. He always has amazing energy.
