Scorecard<\/b><\/a><\/p>\nIreland recorded their highest-ever T20 run total to thrash Germany once again and win their fourth Women’s T20 World Cup European qualifier in Rotterdam.<\/p>\n
Amy Hunter was the standout player for Ireland, as she hit 114 from 67 balls as the Irish set a record target of 223 which the Germans did not get close to.<\/p>\n
Lloyd Tennant’s side, who have already beaten Germany as well as Netherlands and Italy in the round robin stage, are now in a strong position to claim one of two spots at the global qualifiers in Nepal next year.<\/p>\n
That tournament will decide the final four qualifiers for the 2026 T20 World Cup in England next summer.<\/p>\n
Ireland won the toss and opted to bat first, with Hunter and Christina Coulter Reilly racking up 79 runs before the latter was bowled out by Rameesha Shahid, which was the only wicket Germany claimed.<\/p>\n
Hunter went on to record her second T20 century in just 61 balls with Leah Paul then adding 62 runs from 33 balls as Ireland set their highest ever target.<\/p>\n
It was a much tougher ask for Germany’s batters, with none of them able to move into double digits.<\/p>\n
Jane Maguire claimed an early wicket from Wilhelmina Hornero-Garcia whilst Laura Delany dismissed Karthika Vijayaraghavan and captain Asmita Kohli.<\/p>\n
Cara Murray also took out Rameesha Shahid as Germany finished with just 44 runs.<\/p>\n
