Police have arrested a man after reports of attempted break-ins and vehicles being damaged in north Belfast.<\/p>\n
Officers were contacted about incidents at various addresses in the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
A man matching the description of the suspect involved was detained on the Limestone Road.<\/p>\n
The 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of offences including criminal damage, possessing an article with intent to damage property, attempted burglary and going equipped for burglary.<\/p>\n
He remains in custody at this time.<\/p>\n

Separately, a 40-year-old man was arrested in east Belfast following an attempted burglary in the early hours of this morning.<\/p>\n
Sergeant Todd said: \u201cWe received a report at around 2.25am, where a resident had disturbed a man attempting to burgle their property in the Burghley Mews area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe caller had heard a loud noise outside the property and gone downstairs, where they saw a man reaching his arm through an open window and taking a gold-coloured knife from the windowsill. The suspect then used the knife to try and gain access to the property through the front door.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers arrived at the scene a few minutes after the resident\u2019s call and were given a description of the man. He was subsequently located nearby, with the knife seized by police.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
