{"id":369959,"date":"2025-08-24T14:46:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-24T14:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/369959\/"},"modified":"2025-08-24T14:46:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T14:46:13","slug":"stratford-dlr-station-man-had-a-gun-with-arrest-made","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/369959\/","title":{"rendered":"Stratford DLR station: Man \u2018had a gun\u2019 with arrest made"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Police were called to Stratford DLR station around 4.20pm yesterday (August 23).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  As officers approached the man, he allegedly went onto the tracks.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Officers then worked with station staff, paramedic and the London Fire Brigade to bring him back to safety.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The man was taken to hospital and later arrested on suspicion of trespass, endangering the railway and a public order offence before being taken into custody.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Police did not say if a firearm was recovered.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The station was closed and the DLR was suspended between Stratford High Street and Stratford International &#8220;while the police respond to an incident at Stratford&#8221;, according to TfL.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A BTP spokesperson said: \u201cOfficers were called to Stratford DLR station at around 4.20pm yesterday (23 August) after a man told station staff that he had a firearm.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWhen officers approached the man he entered the tracks.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cOfficers worked with staff, paramedics and the London Fire Brigade to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe man was taken to hospital as a precaution and later arrested on suspicion of trespass, endangering the railway and a public order offence before being taken into custody.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Police were called to Stratford DLR station around 4.20pm yesterday (August 23).
