The wife of a man who has vanished has made an emotional appeal to help find him.<\/p>\n
Jonathan Roberts, 35, has not been seen for 24 hours after he dropped his son off at their home in Dukinfield, Tameside<\/a>, after watching him play football.<\/p>\n Mr Roberts told his wife Jacqueline, 45, that he was going to the driving range for the afternoon, but he has not been seen since.<\/p>\n He left home at 1.40pm yesterday (Aug 23).<\/p>\n Never miss a story with the MEN’s daily Catch Up newsletter – get it in your inbox by signing up here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Mrs Roberts told the Manchester Evening News that her husband’s disappearance is totally out of character.<\/p>\n She said that their two children, Jacob, nine, and Maisie, six, are desperate to have their father home.<\/p>\n “They want to know where their daddy is,” an emotional Mrs Roberts said.<\/p>\n “He dropped our son off from football,” she said. “He said he was going to the driving range at Trafford<\/a> Park.<\/p>\n “I was expecting him home about sixish.<\/p>\n “I’ve tried to ring and text him, he doesn’t pick up the phone. The WhatsApp messages were only saying one tick.<\/p>\n “That just carried on. I tried the driving range. They couldn’t see anyone that had been there. In the end I called the police at 11pm last night.”<\/p>\n Mrs Roberts, who has been married to Jonathan for nine years, said that she went back to the driving range this morning, and that they weren’t able to see her husband on CCTV footage.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News <\/strong>WhatsApp<\/strong> group <\/strong>HERE<\/a><\/p>\n She said he was not known to suffer from mental health issues or any addictions. “He barely drinks,” she said.<\/p>\n Mrs Roberts said that the police told her her husband had been caught on an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera yesterday afternoon, but that he could not be traced after that.<\/p>\n “They are in the process of trying to track his phone,” she said.<\/p>\n Mrs Roberts said she is trying to access his tablet and work phone, but is having difficulties given the company is shut for the bank holiday weekend.
