With his hands full with Terence Crawford next month, a former foe of Canelo Alvarez is unsure if he will actually fight a long-mooted rival afterwards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Putting his undisputed super middleweight championship on the line next month, Canelo Alvarez<\/a> will take on former undisputed welterweight titleholder Terence Crawford<\/a> in a bid to inflict the Nebraska native\u2019s first-ever loss in the ring.<\/p>\n

And already linked with a host of matchups off the back of his fight with Crawford next month, Canelo has found himself on the wish list of Eddie Hearn<\/a> \u2014 who hopes to book one fight in particular next year.<\/p>\n

But as far as an ex-opponent of Canelo is concerned, Hearn\u2019s preferred matchup likely has no chance of coming to fruition.<\/p>\n

Amir Khan doubts Canelo Alvarez will take on Hamzah Sheeraz<\/p>\n

Backed as a credible threat to Canelo\u2019s run<\/a> at the super middleweight limit, the unbeaten British prospect Hamzah Sheeraz<\/a> has been the talk of the town since his knockout of common foe, Edgar Berlanga<\/a>, this year.<\/p>\n

But as far as former world champion Amir Khan<\/a> is concerned, if Canelo actually fights Sheeraz \u2014 which he believes is unlikely \u2014 the Jalisco native could very well come unstuck for the first time at that weight class.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a boxing fan, I would like to see that fight [between Canelo and Sheeraz],\u201d Khan told IFL TV. \u201cBecause I think Hamzah beats him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s made a lot of money \u2014 he might even say, \u2018You know what, why take a hard fight?\u2019 He\u2019s coming toward the end [of his career] \u2014 he\u2019s got two or three fights left in him. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhy\u2019s he going to take on a young, hungry warrior?\u201d Khan continued. \u201cBut you, know, we\u2019d love to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eddie Hearn weighs up Canelo Alvarez vs. Daniel Pacheco<\/p>\n

And if Khan\u2019s prediction on a potential fight between Canelo and Sheeraz rings true, it seems Matchroom Boxing leader Hearn has a backup plan in mind.<\/p>\n

Hoping to squeeze a couple more fights from the Mexican megastar, Hearn confirmed that if he could put together one fight next year, it would see Tyson Fury<\/a> finally take on fellow former champion Anthony Joshua<\/a>.<\/p>\n
