A police officer was hurt after being involved in a crash in Wythenshawe<\/a>.<\/p>\n The officer was driving a marked police car while responding to a report of criminal damage when the collision occurred, Greater Manchester Police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n A white car crashed into the driver’s side of the police vehicle as the marked car crossed oncoming traffic, from the M56<\/a> onto Simonsway, with its blue lights and sirens activated.<\/p>\n The officer attended hospital after suffering minor injuries.<\/p>\n Never miss a story with the MEN’s daily Catch Up newsletter – get it in your inbox by signing up here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n It is understood no driving offences have been identified, and no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n The driver of the white car was not injured.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 5:38pm yesterday (24\/08\/2025), an officer responding to a report of criminal damage ongoing in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester was involved in a road traffic collision.<\/p>\n “The officer was driving a marked police car with blue lights and sirens activated.<\/p>\n
