{"id":371520,"date":"2025-08-25T05:09:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T05:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/371520\/"},"modified":"2025-08-25T05:09:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T05:09:13","slug":"trailer-ww2-shark-thriller-beast-of-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/371520\/","title":{"rendered":"Trailer: WW2 Shark Thriller &#8220;Beast of War&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/trailer-ww2-shark-thriller-beast-of-war.jpg\" data-caption=\"Well Go USA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/trailer-ww2-shark-thriller-beast-of-war.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"trailer-ww2-shark-thriller-beast-of-war\"\/><\/a>Well Go USA<\/p>\n<p>Well Go USA Entertainment has premiered the trailer for Australian director Kiah Roache-Turner\u2019s new feature \u201cBeast of War\u201d, which marks his latest horror feature after \u201cWyrmwood,\u201d \u201cNekrotronic,\u201d \u201cWyrmwood: Apocalypse\u201d, and \u201cSting\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Set in 1942, the story follows a group of young Australian soldiers stranded at sea after their warship is destroyed in a Japanese air attack.<\/p>\n<p>As they struggle to survive on a single life raft, a new terror emerges in the form of a massive, relentless great white shark.<\/p>\n<p>The film draws inspiration from the real-life sinking of the HMAS Armidale during the evacuation of troops from Timor.  One wounded ordinary seaman, Edward \u201cTeddy\u201d Sheean, strapped himself to an anti-aircraft gun and shot down at least one plane before the ship sank.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 149 men on board, 100 died either in the attack or later at sea from exposure, thirst, and shark attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Roache-Turner reportedly combines CG with with a half-ton animatronic model to bring the shark to life in the film.
