Hull City hope to have Lewie Coyle and Charlie Hughes back for Saturday’s trip to face Bristol City at Ashton Gate in what would be a big boost.<\/p>\n
Skipper Coyle has not played since damaging his hamstring in the 2-1 win over Istanbulspor back in early pre-season, while Hughes missed the 3-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers<\/a> after succumbing to the virus which swept through the camp before the game<\/a>.<\/p>\n Coyle trained at Cottingham<\/a> on Saturday in a bid to step up his fitness and is expected to return to full training with the rest of the players on Monday.<\/p>\n There could also be good news regarding summer arrival Enis Destan, who has not yet been seen in a City shirt following his arrival from Trabzonspor.<\/p>\n Destan is expected to return to training on Monday with a view to being involved in the squad that travels down to the West Country on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n Akin Famewo could be involved, providing he recovers from the kick he received in training on Wednesday, before he also fell victim to the same sickness bug which flattened Hughes, and left a number of players feeling under the weather<\/a> during the defeat to Rovers.<\/p>\n Crucially, Semi Ajayi will not return until after the international break, and it’s unlikely that Matt Crooks will recover from the ankle injury he sustained in the win over Oxford United in time to feature at Ashton Gate. The experienced midfielder was still wearing a protective boot at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, but is expected to be fit when the Tigers return to action at Swansea City next month.<\/p>\n Liam Millar is also closing in on a return to action and will continue his recovery during the next couple of weeks with a view to making his long awaited comeback towards the end of September.<\/p>\n One huge positive from Saturday’s defeat was getting Mohamed Belloumi back on the pitch for the final 15 minutes or so after more than nine months out with an ACL injury.
